Each year Covington Firefighters support numerous charities and community events including, but not limited to, MDA, winter hat and glove drive and safety fairs. 

In an effort to maximize the impact of our charitable contributions, this year we, with help from others, will be establishing a Covington Firefighters Scholarship Fund and Children’s Bicycle Helmet Program. 

The scholarship fund will be set up to aid students from Holmes High School realize their continuing education goals.  The children’s bicycle helmet program will promote physical activity and safety to the youngest members of our community. 

On May 15, 2008 Covington Professional Firefighters Local 38 will be hosting its inaugural charity golf outing. 

The success of this event depends on the generous support from local businesses and community representatives like you.  For our upcoming event, we are seeking “hole” sponsors, cash donations, and door prizes. All money raised will be used for charity and to support local community events.  All sponsor donations will be recognized at the event.
